Spiral Logic IV Reality is vibrational

           Debate thrives on contrasts, yes (affirmative) or no (negative).

 Academic debate floats on metaphysical contracts away from vibrational reality that calls for negotiation.

           If debate is battle, negotiation is war.

 Battle, like bargaining, is win or lose. But negotiation often goes beyond win or lose. Why? Because, in vibrational reality, the law of attraction works.

 "You're absolutely right. But I doubt if it works in practice."

            "Your argument is air-tight. But I just don't like it, that's all."

            "I get you. Very persuasive. You're smarter than he. But, the thing is, he got me. I'm sold on his idea."

           The above three examples can be boiled down to this simple formula: Theory yes, but no in practice.

           Yes, mental gymnastics of debate is beautiful, and pleasing to our eyes and ears.

           Debate works in style; but we doubt if it works in substance as well. It is often away from vibrational reality.

           Does God exist?

           This debate has been around since time began, perhaps.

           We can debate it as part of mental exercise, for we, I, for one, can play both sides. Sometimes, God exists. Sometimes He doesn’t. And yet I’m either religious or atheistic or neither. Am I wrong? You could say I’m a totally a-religious person. True or false? But it’s neither true or false. Or both. Truth is somewhere in between.

Who said, “I’m a religiously-minded agnostic”?

Arnold Toynbee, great historian.

His philosophical bent resonates to me, it is vibrational and gravitational.

           This debate (Does God Exist?) takes on three vibrational dimensions: Do we love God? Do we want God? Do we need God? Sometimes or all the time? Who is God? What  on earth is God? Where is God? When is God? Why? How He works?

           Debate goes on ad infinitum. Aren’t we wasting our time?

           Are you with me?

           Are you in our vortex? If you don’t like any vortex, the vortex loves you all, atheistic or religious. Not God’s vortex, but nature’s. You can get in on one of those vortexes, like vortexes are abundant in nature.

           Arguably, Leonard da Vinci, like other natural-born geniuses, was blessed and nurtured by the natural vortex.

           Every time I watch the eddying tides of Naruto, two opposing currents (vortexes) dancing merrily to each other’s vibrational tune, one wonders if life is co-existential, co-evolutional, and co-creational. Yes, reality is S-words. Life is sexy. Life is synthetical. Life is symphonic. Life is synchronistically and serendipitously co-creational. Any reason why debate shouldn’t be vibrational?

           Vibrational debate based on spiral principle is here to stay.

           Debate as a mere skill is debate-jitsu(討論術).

 Debate as a way of life, as it relates to vibrational reality, is debate-doh(究論道).

 If 道 (doh) is ice (solid), it is just a phase of amorphous (solid, liquid and gaseous) water道 (michi).

Michi, like water, in its purest form, is colorless, shapeless, odorless. Water has, among all the other attributes; the vibrational power that heals us, body and soul.

           Most important, water, when it’s healthy, is hexagonally shaped.

           The spiral debate (my coinage) is referred to as hexagonal debate, or soccer debate, because the proposition of spiral debate vibrates, attracts, rotates (dances) around each other’s friendly opponent case (pro or con). All vibrational debates dance and sing around an ever-spinning issue.

           What an amazing Milky Way! What a wondrous Galaxy! The hexagonal debate!

Let me tell you this, pointblank.

The debate is based on the law of attraction.

Which side, pro or con, attracts the other side more vigorously?  Debate, logical by nature, favors intellectual superiority over emotional prowess.

College debate, in particular, gravitates toward the battle of logic, enforced by information (facts and figures) rather than intelligence.

Why? Because unquantifiable intelligence, hidden underneath, explodes like magna at nature’s whim.

But can a case be made that those red hot molten rocks are the real motives behind those rationally fabricated facades?

Logical confrontation works better perhaps at the academic level than an emotional confrontation that’s a fact of life, albeit it is considered politically incorrect.

Tatemae, being politically correct (sugar coated) and civilized, for that matter, but plays only a second fiddle to honne (honest feelings construed as inappropriate or politically incorrect). But who knows honne, coming from spontaneous and thus natural impulses, is more powerful.

Debate, merely as a pursuit of persuasive skills, is too academic, and not entirely “in tune” with reality. This is where the Way of Debate (spiral debate) comes in. 道 (Doh) picks up where 術 (Jutsu) leaves off.

Keep in mind, however, 道and 術 are not muturely exclusive. 術 divides, but 道 unites, the theory of thermodynamics says fusion is far more powerful than fission, because 道does not exclude 術. Both 道and 術 complement with each other.

Now that’s the Way of Debate. The spiral debate, hexagonally organized, comes by spontaneous generation. It doesn’t come on my own, but by nature’s will.

Man-made logic goes straight. But nature’s logic goes spiral.

The spiral debate, after all the clash of two vortexes. I’ve been recently inspired by my experiences at Nushima island I recently visited for two nights’ stay. All I saw at this wonder island is vortexes. The vortex (whirl-pool) at Naruto strait, spirally deformed trans-formational rocks, spirally twisted fossil rocks, all indications of the happy marriage between Jomon and Yayoi cultures spirally fusing into each other.

Conflicts or clashes kill but vortexes don’t. They just live and let live – reversing each other. 和 is spiral. 和 should not kill; cannot kill. Spiral debate, life-giving debate, makes opponents, friendly or unfriendly, come alive. Now, that’s the beauty and joy of spiral debate.

Spiral Logic IV Spiral Debate: Definition

What’s spiral debate? Let me get the definition straight. 

Since it’s hard to define the newly emerging concept of spiral debate, let me define what it is NOT.

It’s not the straight debate that is based on man-made straight logic that goes linear—past, present and future--.

We have an issue (debatable). To debate, we have to establish the need for change. To do so, the problem area must be identified. Here goes the straight logic or why-because logic.

Pick an issue. (Why is it an issue?) The issue comes from a serious problem. But why is it serious?  Where does the problem come from? (Why is it inherent in the issue?) 

Where’s a link between cause and effect? If you set the link established, the rest is easy. Kill the cause and the effect (problem) will go away. Right? Wrong, the problem will come back. Why? Prove me wrong. That’s straight.

Spiral debater wonders if the basis assumption, either-or solution, is valid.

Is affirmative right, because negative is wrong? If the golden balance is the way to do, both can’t be right or wrong. Instead of separating right from wrong, an attempt must be made after fission (debate as a tactic) so that both right and wrong must be fused as a strategy into a golden balance, yin and yang.

Fission is just a means of reaching fused (enlightened) consensus, the beauty of the golden mean (中庸).

Spiral logic says neither party is absolutely right and wrong. It is just both are equal but separate.

Straight logic on the “fission” debate is an effective tactic to strategically reach, fused (educated) consensus or mutually acceptable balance. Mutual give is what spiral debate is after.

Spiral Logic VII Haragei Fuses into Debate if it’s spiral.

Hara is a person’s gravitational center around which all human’s psychosomatic activities evolve spirally. 

            
            Haragei is a debate in disguise, because issues are debated in the hara (abdomen).

Debate is a haragei in disguise, because all human issues are artificially separated by human logic between pro and con and cooperatively performed between separate actors.

Civilized debate, therefore, favors winner's justice, whereas natural logic based on hara (visceral) logic favors neither winner nor loser, it just favors magnetic fulcrum, called hara.

Why? Because hara, a pivotal center, believes that the spiral truth is somewhere in between.

Nin is a samurai’s self-worth. 

I’m in the vortex of Bushido. Are you in or out? Get in the vortex with me at your own risk. I got in on my own. 

It wasn’t till I got engulfed in this whirl-pool at Minami Awaji that I learned that giri and ninjo are intertwined in eddying waters. 

The collapse, oops, fusion of the two gravitational waves colliding into each other, complementing with each other.

The Spiral Logic. The natural logic. Natural logic doesn’t go straight, like, first, second, third or past, present, future; it goes spiral—getting right back where it started from. The past and the future evolve around here and now – zero gravity. It’s the center of Norwegian Maelstrom. It’s the eye of the typhoon – the funnel. You may call it void, ether, gravitational wave center.

When surface currents and tidal currents collide, dangerous giant whirlpools (maelstroms) occur on their own, like Onokorojima, 自凝島 in the ocean. Nushima, famous for hamo, softbony fish, product of Jomon currents, eventually fused spirally into Awaji island, thus consummating the marriage made in heaven between hunter, gatherer Jomon culture and rice-cultivating Yayoi culture.

Nushima gave us fishery, whereas Awaji-shima gave us farming culture. Fabulous onions.
Two cultures across the Median Techtonic Line, merge spirally into the celestrial conjugation, giving rise to the unity between Izanagi 's sperm and Izanami 's egg. The biological intercourse between two deities materialized the birth of the twin, first-born Nushima and Awaji-island. Hence Japan's creation myth. The two vortexes are spirally conjoined for eternal mutual attraction.


木馬館 keeps on harping on one thing. What goes up must come down. You get what you give.(因果応報) You just don't give it away. Time or money. Everything comes full circle.
I've been living in two major cultural vortexes: Osaka and Tokyo.
Now I'm in the middle of the conjoined ocean,

Currents are horizontally moving, created by global winds, affected by the Earth's spin.
Ocean water moves up and down in daily patterns called tides. Tides are caused by the gravitational, rotational forces of the Sun and the Moon acting on Earth. The moon's pull on the Earth is stronger than the Sun, because it's closer to us. 太陰暦 (lunar calendar) is more influential, more vibrational, and more gravitational than 太陽暦 (solar calendar), because it's more natural – with apologies to Fukuzawa Yukichi who poo pooed the former. 

Nature is spiral. We should be spiral. And our logic must be spiral, by extension.

The day of straight logic is over. Life is non-linear.

Syllogism works as long as logic works.

(All dogs are animals; all animals have four legs; therefore all dogs have four legs.)

Is the following deductive logic also valid?

The Kodokan, my office, room can be cleaned more effectively by more members according to the law of the division of labor.

Three members can clean it three-times faster -- more effectively.

Therefore, one hundred members can do it one-hundred times quicker – thus more effectively.

Um.

The twenty-percent of employees do the job for the remaining eighty-percent of them, less competent. (The law of power)

To make an organization more effective, it’s logical to get twenty-percenters from various organizations and get them to work on a project.

Does the linear logic work?

Umm.

Evolutionary logic.

Spiral logic is a natural-born logic.

Human-made logic is ephemeral.

Spiral logic also begins with WHY?

          Nature cross-examines: Define beginning.

Tell what was there before the beginning.

Before God. Before the Big Bang.

Before time began. Before logos came into being.

            Any evidence against spiral energy, or against evolutionary spiral?

The birth of spiral debate as a logical and natural conclusion.

 Ⅴ. Spiral Debate Fuses TIME and SPACE into a Spiral Whole.

          TIME: Rock or/and Wind.

          SPACE: Fire or/and Water.

WARP: Time and space are twisted into nothingness and everythingness.

Ether logic, perhaps. Because compatibility and incompatibility are not mutually exclusive. Both dance ethereally.

Ask Isaac Asimov (Russian-born writer-scientist). The prolific science non-fiction writer passed away without publishing a long-awaited book on ether. What a shame!

Life is the swirl of the whirlpool. So should be the life logic. What goes around comes around.

Out with straight or fission logic.

 In with spiral or fusion logic.

The spirit of the spiral logic fuses fission and fusion harmoniously into the vortex of wholeness; consolidating and fertilizing the moving earth, and our swirling hearts and minds.

Now what? Take your hats off to Joel Stein, a samurai (a lone fighter against the odds) journalist and do as I tell you: Cross over to spiral logic. From our logic to their logic or rather SHARED logic. Let the spiral debate begin, before Dante’s Hell creeps in. The Way of Spherical Debate (球論), the spiral debate. Don’t let winners take all, or demonize “guilty” losers, hanging them in public. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Don’t let the rich one-percenter enslave ninety-percenters. Shall we spiral-think?

WHY is spiral logic critical now? 

The world is in crisis. Evidence proves we humans are headed for the last war. Another Armageddon is a foregone conclusion, if humans are allowed to play God. Are humans permitted to take down with them every other species on earth? Says who? Human hubris. Winners take all. Losers lose all. Straight logic roars: That’s fair. Losers, endangered species on earth, can’t and shouldn’t judge. Might is right. Losers grunt and groan: That’s not fair. The game of survival of the fittest goes on. Spiral justice fuses both logic and emotion into a spiral whole for eternal co-evolution – live and let live.

HOW does spiral logic work?

An example? The same old 100 Most Influential People on TIME (May 2/ May 9, 2016) put Joel Stein, TIME’s sworn devil’s advocate on the last page. FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS IRRELEVANT. What a spiral logic! It’s diametrically opposed to TIME’s anthropomorphic editorial policy, putting a Hollywoody woman on the cover. Joel, an ironic Jewish journalist prefers to put Zika mosquitoes on the cover instead, cross-examining us, “which one is more influential? An entertainer who comes and goes, or a mosquito that dies hard. ” I , Kuryu, would put cockroaches on the cover of TIME, if I were TIME’s managing editor, with a subtitle; If we don’t eat roaches, they’ll eat us up. Nukes-minded humans can’t save the world from eventual ruin, let alone TIME or the Economist journalists. Nature’s spiral logic will.  (May 10, 2016)

WHAT is spiral logic?

Let’s define it this way for a change. Spiral logic isn’t human-made logic; it’s natural-born logic. It’s the opposite of straight logic that goes syllogistically: major premise, minor premise, and conclusion. Past, present, and future. And this straight-line logic born in ancient Greece is almost history, for what it’s worth. The Greece-born logic has lost its soul. It’s down but not out yet. It takes spiral logic to make it come alive. The spiral spirit picks up where the soul has left off. Spirality. Isn’t it the evolutionary spirit? Life goes spirally on, the way DNA works double-helically. Monotheistically speaking, good and bad, God and Satan are destined to fight each other out. The logical extension is Armageddon, the last war by which winners take all – punishing losers by the terrible human justice. Winner’s justice. Straight logic, thus, is either-or. Right or wrong. Life or death. Heaven or earth. Imagine there’s no heaven or hell. Imagine the logic goes spirally. We humans are both guilty and not guilty. Both bright and dark. The day and the night. The sun and the moon. No past or future. Eternal now (Tokowaka) where both past and future fuse into each other. Spiral logic is fusion logic deriving from natural-born logic. Heaven and hell are as good as day and night. They’re not mutually exclusive. They attract as well as expel each other, Yin-Yang, like a tadpole making love. Pro and con are separate but equal. Straight logic or straight debate says you are either right or wrong. Spiral logic doubts it. Who knows both are right and wrong. Straight debate is no better. Spiral debate is in. Why? Spiral dialectism gives us life, always “moving forward”, evolution or devolution. Now, that’s spiral logic.  (May 5, 2016)
